So I have wireless USB modem plugged into my 3G capable router, from which a cable runs to my PC, and WiFi waves to my phone.

It's all on that USB modem mobile data plan (20GB/month), and I want to keep an eye on that limit.

I've been using NetWorx, back when the modem was plugged straight into PC, and it worked like a charm, that was all i ever needed.

Then I got that router, and the only thing that NetWorx doesn't support is monitoring router that uses USB as WAN port (if it would use RJ-45, I'd be fine).

My point is, I need some piece of software, to monitor how much data is going through that modem (booth in and out). Seeing speed would be nice as well.

Ideally I'd like for it to keep a log of it somewhere, just like NetWorx does, and send me a reminder when I go over some percentage of that 20GB cap.

Excluding certain hours from being monitored is essential, so is being able o clean the record every month.

To have it monitor when PC is off would be nice. Also, price of the software doesn't matter.

I'm mostly concerned about PC usage. If it has to have computer running in order to monitor, fine. I don't use wifi that much, but I'd still like to include it into calculations.

Thanks in advance!

The Routers GUI should have some counter in it. not exactly sure where as it differs from router to router but it shows total upload/download since last reset or since you reset the meters.

I know, but that's barebone. I need to reset router sometimes, what then? And I can't exactly tell it to ignore all traffic between midnight and 9 am.

Tried that way, didn't succeeded :(
