Is the cable that plugs into the motherboard a single row of 4/5 holes or two? If it's a single row of 4 holes it's possible you put it in backwards.

You can try reinstalling the software.

Sometimes it's just a matter of dust. You can correct this by reseating the connectors 1 or 2 times.

Try using a micro USB to standard USB cable to connect to the back of the motherboard.  If it still doesn't show in Corsair Link, I would also check in your device manager to see if there are any devices showing errors.  Try uninstalling the device and restarting windows if it does show errors.

Are you sure that you plugged the micro-USB into the cpu-block? Because I've forgotten to do that before on builds and then wondered why I wasn't getting anything in Link.

The Potato Box:

AMD 5950X

EVGA K|NGP|N 3090

128GB 3600 CL16 RAM

The Scrapyard Warrior:

AMD 3950x

EVGA FTW3 2080Ti

64GB 3200 CL16 RAM

I see two things wrong with this connector.

1. The connector has been inserted upside down. The black wire should be on the left. The red wire should be on the right.

2. The whole connector has been inserted one column of pins to the left. There's two exposed pins on the right. These shouldn't be visible. Right now the red wire on the left isn't connected to anything if you check the header diagram.

Is it possible to show me where and how to connect the connector? Because in the other way it does not want to connect precisely. The port on the left is a TPM port. So I dont know, thank you.

Look on that

It's hard to see the end of the cable because everything is black but it appears to be a single row of 4 holes. If it's two rows of holes then it still needs to be flipped upside down and moved to the right. If the connector doesn't allow you to do this then the pins in the head were installed wrong. If you could unplug it and get us a clearer image of the cable end it'd help.

Good. Usually when it's two rows then they attach a 2 by 5 square connector with one hole blocked off so you know the orientation but they didn't do it for this product so its easy to plug it in wrong.

You're welcome. If you have any issues in the future don't hesitate to come back to the LTT forum. Someone should help you. (Although I won't lie, depending on the problem sometimes nobody replies because they don't know, sometimes nobody replies because the Topics bar gets bombarded with new topics and the older ones get wiped off the page then nobody finds them later. If this happens, I'd wait 24 hours and post it again the next day. You can get in trouble for posting identical topics more than once so space them out if you don't get a reply on one. Sometimes it does take 24 hours to get any reply. Speaking from experience but beyond 24 hours a reply is rare. That's just how it is on this forum.)
