im probally gonna get completly distroyed for asking this but can you use gigabyte rgb fusion on a msi motherboard. or use msi mysic to operate the rgb on a gigabyte gpu

No. You will have to use the required software from the company that supplies the controller.

It depends somewhat too on what case you have. Phanteks for example sell a cheap adapter that will enable their on case RGB to sync with MSI or Asus RGB motherboards. It's more down to the hardware/if you have an adapter and what your case is set up for than the software that tends to be the issue. The software is inbuilt into the BIOS for some modern boards as well.
