I am still using a 770

Let's start out with this, I waited too long, I know I should have bought a 1070 when it was 400 bucks. But I was wondering, how many of you all waited too long as well, who is still sitting around with an old gpu, swearing at all the miners of the world.

On the bright side, when the new cards release we should see a flood of 1060/70s and 4/580s

That's an F in the profile pic

I got new cards but still use my old cards. No point in going through all the issues to use “better” cards.

I waited a year before I could purchase my 1070. Not cryptocurrencies fault, but Nvidia's fault. 970 was 350€, 1070 should be 350€ but you know, that's how monopoly works. 1060 for 350€ and similar performance as 970. 1070 is 500€ and similar performance as 980 Ti. Now it seems Nvidia will launch 2080 for $1500 (rumors) and it's not miners fault you see.

Don't blame cryptocurrencies but miners, retailers and Nvidia! Because THEY are the guilty ones.

Nividia doesn't have a monopoly, though they're clearly the market leader. And the 1060 offers 980 level performance, not 970, and its current price is clearly inflated by crypto-currency mining.
