I want a stable build.

Alternative in that link seems to send to chrome, not chromium. https://www.google.com/intl/en/chrome/browser/canary.html

and the second alternative in that link seems to link to chrome, not chromium.

I believe you have to compile it yourself, which the instructions on how to do so are on the Chromium.org page:

Um.. In my experience, 99% of users I've had with Chromium download it from some rando place, and it always seems to come with lovely malware and other sideloaded programs....

Exactly why people download it from unknown places. Because it's "easier".

If you don't have all the time in the world don't download source code as other people are suggesting.

Here are is a link for working Windows binaries: https://chromium.woolyss.com/

EDIT: or if you're using an ubuntu based Linux distro just run sudo apt install chromium
