Ram speed

Being the dumbass i am, i accidently bought another ramstick thats a little bit slower than the other one. I have Crucial Ballistix Sport 4gb 2666mhz,  and i decided to buy another ram stick, its the same except ram speed is 2400mhz, they're both Cruical Ballistix, and both 4gb, are they compatible, if not, what should i do?

they should be compatable the only thing is that your first ram stick will run on the speed of the slowest stick in your system.

They should be fine just have both sticks in there and your motherboard will either run them as separate sticks and not make it dual channel or it will lower the clock of the 2666mhz down to 2400mhz so that they are the same speed

@ me if you want me to respond  :))

You could try pushing the 2400 to 2666

it will depend on your luck, if it has the same chips inside you wont have problems as long as you set the frequency to what you want, if they have different chips timings will probably suffer a bit
