Thinking of buying Cooler Master MasterFan MF200R RGB

Omikse

Does anyone have any reviews of this fan. I am thinking of getting a couple so I would like to know if anyone has them and what they think of them since they are aura compatible. I read you can plug it into the rgb header but I cant find any pics of its cord to see if it is a 4 or 3 connection point.

EDIT: Just found it is a 3 prong connection so how does that work with the RGB header

The RGB connector is a regular 4 pin RGB that would directly interface with the motherboard's header, so there are two separate cables that come from the fan.

I have an H500P and the power connector for my 200mm fans are 3 pin.

Perhaps the retail and the one included in the H500P differ.

EDIT: nvm my bad you're talking about RGB. Though I don't know how the RGB connector could be 3 pin, they're always 4 pin.

Well this is the listing on Newegg I am looking at. In the specs it say 3 prong power connector:

Ohhh, power connector. You were talking about rgb in your first post. Ok, so a 3 pin can plug into a 4 pin fine. You just don't get the really fine voltage control. I have an H500P with 2 MF200Rs preinstalled, and the work fine plugged into my 4 pin chassis fan connectors on my motherboard.

TL;DR you'll be fine.

But they are RGB and supposed to be Aura Compatible according to the listing plus the ASUS site say that they are as well:

If you click on cooling and then case fan under cooler category, it has them listed there.

yes, the fan has two connectors.

One is a 4 pin for the RGB. It plugs into your motherboard's RGB header. It will work.

The other is a 3 pin for the power that makes the fan spin. That one plugs into a 4 pin chassis fan power header on your motherboard. It doesn't matter they are different amounts of pins, it will work.
