Reclaim Username?

Ok, so I had no idea where to put this so I just chucked it here to be safe.

 

Basically I was trying to change my username to remove the B, and just be Jaeger. However someone already has this name: https://linustechtips.com/main/profile/150916-jaeger/

They haven't posted since 2014, and they have 1 post.

Is there any way to have their name changed to free up the one I'd like? This isn't a big deal, I was just curious if it can be done.

Nope, not for us (idk about staff/mods)

Mods or admins can, but they can't without consent from the guy who already has the name as far as I know.

No - we do not delete inactive user accounts.

Generally not a good idea in a management sense, even if the user hasn't been active in forever.

Yes so like I said, if that guy logs back on and agrees to it, then it could be done. But if not, no.
