Before we start, I have a i5 6600k on a msi z170m mortar motherboard cooled by a corsair h100i v2 aio water cooler. When I start up my pc i sometimes go into corsair link to monitor my temperatures. Lately I've noticed that my idle temperatures from the start are quiet low, but only from the start. Right now after using my pc for about an hour my idle temps are at around 28 degrees. The wierd thing is that after startup my idle temps are around 16-20 degrees. My temperatures can also change very quickly sometimes (upwards of 10 degrees in 2 seconds). Can these things indicate a damaged or faulty heat sensor?

What is your ambient tempature?

For a idle system that seems right.

Cpu temps can change quickly as the cpu will quickly jump from idle to high power back to idle.

THem seems fine.

The ambient is probybly warmer, thats why i think the temps might be wrong
