An external Amp Dac for HD598

iamyee

Hello

I'm going to buy the hd598sr (mainly for gaming purposes) and really need an external dac amp combo for it. I'm going to be using it for my laptop (lenovo y500) which doesn't have a good mobo and so I was thinking of getting maybe the fiio e10k (haven't done much research) to get the full use out of these. The cheaper the better as always and I would like the best experience I could get for gaming out of these. What would you suggest?

Thanks

I don't think a DAC amp will be of much help with a 598. I would suggest buying a 58x or K7xx and getting a Fulla 2 or optima nuforce udac later on

sadly the k712 is 3 times the price of the hd598sr in my country. I have had problems with headphones in the past with my laptop. Sub par performance with good headphones. My laptop sucks. Hence I was thinking of the external amp dac

The fulla 2 is as pricy as the headphone itself. Is it worth it. DO you have a cheaper suggestion.

I have a pair of HD 558's, XPT100's and M40x and I use a FX-Audio Dac X6. Iv had it for over a year now with no issues using it basically every day for gaming, tidal music, youtube, movies etc.  I know its not the best one out there but it works and its alot better than on board.

Here it is on amazon
