Cheap laptop for basic tasks

IgorM

I'm looking for a cheap laptop, 300 USD or less, that is able to perform general tasks like web browsing and writing word documents. The user wants a laptop that can run Windows. So far I've found this one https://www.cnet.com/products/asus-vivobook-max-x541na-pd1003y-15-6-pentium-n4200-4-gb-ram-500-gb-hdd/specs/ for 220 USD on Best buy. Any other suggestions?

In fact it's not for me. The most important features are a decently sized screen and some storage. I'm trying to avoid Celeron CPUs and 2 GB of RAM.

Oh, Well both have 4 GB of RAM. If so then the 2nd option might be better as it is an AMD E2 APU. Plus that laptop is actually quite upgradeable with a 14 inch 1080p IPS screen

I believe a Thinkpad with a SSD upgrade should work. Any suggestions of physical stores that have some good deals on them?
