Hello, I go to 11th Grade and I choose to get my project from Physics because, I love physics, but I'm not sure what should I do. I have some things in mind and I want you guys to expand that list and help me choose, teacher said I should excite the school and him, so there's that. I'll link some my concept ideas.

You've caught me at a disadvantage. I'm a high school biology science 9-10 teacher. I dug up one of my favourite applied physics textbook and scanned a section for you (citation: Fundamentals Of Physics. R. Heath, R.R. Macnaughton, D.G. Martindale. D.C. Heath Canada Ltd. 1979). 

 

Suggestion... Whenever I introduce a topic, I set up "learning stations", or little demonstrations that the students can move from... station to station... and answer 1-3 questions per station (keep it quick).

 

PDF file #1... In the pages that I sent you, I see about 6 THEORY-learning stations (i.e., p. 467 sketch at bottom right corner; p. 469 two practice drawings; p. 470 a solenoid with metal filings; p. 471, see sketch mid page; p. 473 inner workings of a coiled-wire).

 

Another suggestion... build an electric motor & illustrate how the forces "do work".  PDF file #2... I've seen my fellow teachers have his students build little motors. This could be your APPLICATION station: pages 480-484. This one's eye-catching because it has moving parts (and you can even set up a moving coil loud speaker and play whatever oogie-boogy music young people listen to now-days [unlike my wholesome music choices - Disturbed :-) ]).

 

Yet another suggestion.... Whenever I evaluate my student's work, I'm looking for depth of understanding... not a complicated show & tell.  On page 481 of the PDF I sent you, you can build a little motor (combine those two sketches)... and have it running. And then, have the other little activities surrounding it to illustrate how the forces make it happen ([make them static demonstrations] seen on pp. 467, 469, 470, 471, 473).

 

@LOLLIPOPSJSJSJ , I'm sorry if I'm rambling.  Here's an example of a no-frills electric motor. An awesome site that I use a lot is KHAN ACADEMY. Here's the demo about building an electric motor.

 

Don't get disheartened.  Keep it simple.  You can do this, eh.

Thank you so much for taking your time to help me, appreciated it so incredibly much. I'll listen to your recommendations and suggestions and make a thing out of it. Yet my teacher wants some "thing" to both explain what's going on without complication and make people excited. Making an electric motor and explaining what's physically going on will not be that impressive I guess, but as I said I'll find a way to implement this idea and combine two. Thank you so much again. <3

Levitating magnets in a magnetic field is a good one, and depending on exactly what you want to do, it can be either fairly simple or more complex.

I did mine on GPU overclocking and really went in depth about all the physics involved. It was also an excuse for them to order LN2 so I could OC with it. Needless to say OCing with LN2 for the first time will doing a demo isn't the best idea for stability and on a 7950.
