I am planning to gt A 3930K for my build, but it is kinda pricey and I cannot find any (safe) UK websites that does sell a 3930K for under £400 ($604.64).

This is highly unlikely but are there any UK websites which they know that sells a 3930K for a good price? I may accept US websites depending on shipping cost, would prefer if it is based in the UK though.

Not too sure what exactly you are asking, but that's generally how much a 3930k costs in the UK. There's not too much you can do about it, some retailers can offer it for slightly lower prices, but ultimately it's Intel who controls the pricing of the unit.

That said, because PC components tend to be shipped from the US to the UK, provided the shipping isn't too high it can be cheaper to purchase components overseas. I've seen 3930k's being sold in the US for as low as $500, so that may be your best bet (usually $550, IIRC).

At my local Microcenter, an I7-3930K is $499.99, $529.98 after taxes.

Newegg.com (USA) - $569.99USD+free shipping or £371.67 total

Newegg.ca (Canada)-$574.99CAD+$6.99CAD shipping or £372.41 total

Pccasegear.com (Australia)-$599.00 or £405.58

Your best bet may be scoping out some deals on ebay.co.uk. Or find a friend that can snag a 3930K from microcenter or newegg and ship it out to you in the UK, still totaling less than £400.

Do you get much VA-tax in the US? its something like 20% in the UK; our government are greedy bastards.
Only if we shop in-store, or order online from a seller in the same state, although some still don't charge sales tax even then. Like EChondo said, it depends on the state. New Hampshire residents are lucky enough to have 0% sales tax. But then again, they're unlucky because there's no Microcenter in New Hampshire.

We get taxed on prducts depending on the state, some states if you buy from them online do not charge sales tax, but we don't get anything VA-tax related.

Try PCPartsPicker: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/intel-cpu-bx80619i73930k

I found it for less at WAE+ (http://www.waeplus.co.uk/item/87412/Core-i7-3930K---3.2-GHz---12-MB-L3-Cache) but it is still too expensive.

Gazzer, have you tried looking for it over the channel? Do you think you could find it over in France or Germany for cheaper and just have it shipped, or would it cost too much with import fees and whatnot?

Other than that, I'm fresh out of ideas, I guess just look for deals or local sellers? I doubt local retailers would have it though...

I've just found one that is £368.87 from a website which I don't know how I missed - Amazon US. The shipping is free as well so that is quite good. I will get the 3930K from them, unless anyone else knows A better website?

Part of Amazon's purchase restrictions: "Buyers outside the U.S. cannot purchase the following types of items from sellers: video games, toy and baby items, electronics, cameras and photo items, tools and hardware, kitchenware and housewares, sporting goods and outdoor equipment, software, and computers."

Unfortunately Amazon doesn't ship any of those items outside of the US.
