2 of 8 RAM DIMM's not working?

SnipeYa

Seems the D1 and D2 slots on my X99 Asus Deluxe 2 motherboard have stopped working without me noticing? I've swapped the sticks around and still no good so its definitely the slots.

Any way to find out or things to try get them working again?

don't think so. also x99 sounds like out of warranty?

I'd say so, I believe I've had it longer than a year.

They could just be in the wrong slots, in the manual it should say so, but the sticks usually go every other slot (unless you have all 8 dimm slots populated)

Try using the PSU Tier List!

Did you recently touch the CPU cooler or desocketed the CPU itself? CPU might not be contacting motherboard correctly.

I have all 8 populated with 4GB sticks of dominator platinum. All of which work fine just not in those 2 sockets.

Just put a water block on, but i never removed the CPU, although i have a feeling its been like this for a while without me noticing.

Will take the block off later and reseat the cpu.

Re-seating the CPU is a possible solution.  Ive had to do this on a few PGA and LGA builds to fix random memory channel issues.
