Running Hard Drive Label UP

Hello guys I was just wondering if it was safe to run a HDD label facing upwards. I am planning on putting the drive label up on wood as part of my Desk PC will this be safe?

you want label up in most cases.

It doesn't matter how the drive is oriented. It's balanced internally.

While any orientation for a drive should be fine, isn't label up the most COMMON orientation? Like, most right angle SATA plugs are angled for that orientation for example. Or in my cases the 'snap on rails' all fit the screw holes if the drive is label up, label down wouldn't work

As long as the drive is completely horizontal, or completely vertical, you should be in good shape. Never on a tilt and never mess with the orientation while the drive is running. See: Knowledge Base article.
