Why is Asus Aura so shit?

Dav!d

How does Asus even feel comfortable to use this pile of shit as a selling point? At all?

Aura is so unbelievably limited, it's actually ridiculous. Either that, or I am using an outdated version and can't find the newest one...

You can't even save lighting profiles! What the shit? So you have to adjust every single lighting zone again whenever Aura decides to drop your configuration... Yay!

Even Roccat software is better! WAAAY better!

My opinion on Roccat Swarm:

And Asus Aura is still worse. Genuinely.

Changing your lighting depending on your mood as everyone always says? And how is this supposed to work? Again, no lighting profiles, you'd have to do it completely manually every. single. time.

"Color  Cycle"

-> "This effect does not require user input."

It fucking should, though! You apparently aren't able to properly cycle between two or more colors of your choice!

I really hoped that with Aura I would be able to have my PC change to (example) red when I open Quake, just like my peripherals do. But no, of course that doesn't fucking work. It seems that todays technology just isn't quite capable enough for anything that isn't either static colors or unicorn puke. Downright pathetic.

How is it possible that this is deemed acceptable and never brought up by anyone? I only ever hear how it's good that something has Aura support but at this point it wouldn't even matter if everything in a system used it's own proprietary software....

Please tell me that someone is working on an open source program... :/
