Fully internal fan controller

I need fan controller that is fully internal, with at least five slots for fans.

And you should be able to make fan profiles with it, preferably software controlled.

Or does someone know if I can keep the 5.25" bay controllers hidden behind my 750D front panel?

And price is not a problem. :P

NZXT's GRID may do this well enough. All fans will run at the same speed though.

It'd be nice if they made a "GRID 2" for independent control per fan through software. I think that could be doable for them in the future. User uses software to tell the hardware to lower or raise voltage depending on if you want silence or max performance.

if cost is not a problem, a good motherboard with pwm headers should do the trick.  you may just want to read or see some reviews first.  Ive done fine with my asus board that uses fan expert in asus A.i suite 2..  but not everybody likes this.  most motherboards with a lot of pwm fan headers will include some sort of software solution to control the fans as well as controls in the bios  :)

also, a lot of times you can use Y-splitters to power two fans off one header.. you just want to be sure your not over doing the voltage..

I already have asus z87-a, but cpu fan headers are pure pwm, not controlable with fan xpert. And I can put max two fans to one header with splitter and I have only 3 controlable headers which makes 6 controlable fans.

My radiators are using 5 gentle typhoons (they arent pwm) alone + I have 3 case fans.

And I am gonna hook up the rad fans into the controller.

Also if I recall right Grid has lcd display so it is not fully internal, but can you hide it behind 750D 5.25" bay front panel?

oh darn.. so fan expert isnt working well for you?  it seems okay on my system but I know that it's not favored by everyone..

if you want to power 5 fans for a rad you could use one of those splitters that has multiple headers with a molex connector spliced in for additional power.. akasa makes some nice stuff like that.. beyond that I dont have any more adivce.  I also dont know anything about Grid..

goodluck with that :)

No, the fan xpert is working fine, my motherboard cpu and cpu_opt only supports controlling via pwm, the cha_fan headers can control the speed via dc.

If I used multiple headers on molex wouldn't I be losing all the controlability?

oh darn.. I dunno then.. maybe your stuck using a rheosat for the other fans..

are you sure the other fans cant be controlled via pwm software?

I am 100% sure cpu fan headers are only pwm control, tried with my gentle typhoons, rest I have in my case are non-pwm chase fans which are controlable in the cha_fan headers

Turn it backwards? Like have LCD point inside case. I saw some build log/mod guide doing it to LED controller.
