Bottleneck?

Hey! i am getting parts to upgrade my pc but i can only buy a few things at a time because of price and i am planning to put a ASUS ROG strix 1080 ti OC into my pc and i want to know if there would be a bottleneck and how bad? my CPU is an I7 4790 liquid cooled by a Kraken x52

None to negligible. The 4790 is a capable CPU.

depending on resolution and refresh rate of the monitor, and the games you play. but there should be little to no bottleneck

1080p will see some bottleneck, but hardly any in 1440p

I mean if you bought a 1080Ti to use with a 1080p then that would be a better question than bottleneck... :P

But seriously, given that 1080Ti production is rumored to have stopped (or is stopping soon) in preparation for the 2080 and 2070 in April/June, why wouldn't you wait a few months for what would be a more powerful card for what may very well be a lower price?

Not good enough for a regular 1080 in two of the 3 most recent games I play. 

 

No no looking to upgrade myself. 

Main RIg Lian Li O11 MINI, I7 9900k, ASUS ROG Maximus XI Hero, G.Skill Ripjaws 3600 32GB, 3090FE, EVGA 1000G5, Acer Nitro XZ3 2560 x 1440@240hz
