Is the Corsair VS550 good enough?

I currently have:

GTX 1070

I5-7600

8GB DDR4

256GB SSD

Ausus Prime B250M-A

 

And im going to be upgrading to:

GTX 1070

R7 1700

8GB DDR4

256GB SSD

MSI X370 Gaming Pro Carbon

 

So yeah, if anyone knows, i would be a happy guy.

Should you use a VS unit to power a 1070 though? hell no.

550W is enough but don't buy Corsair VS as that one is a total crap for just basic office PCs... get the CX.

550W ist plenty, but don't get the VS, it's crap. Get a decent unit. Like the G2, G3, RMx, Straight Power 11 or Focus Plus Gold. 

The motherboard is also quite crap, get a decent board, like the Prime Pro.

No, that's worse. 

 

Get the Asus Prime Pro. Has a 6-phase VRM and is the cheapest one to have one.

 

A PSU upgrade to something like an RM550x wouldn't be a bad idea either.
