Overclocking an OLD processor

Recently I have decided to overclock my old AMD Phenom II Black Edition.  So I googled exactly that and found this video:

 

Wow. That is an oldie.  Anyway, I did it.  I have a Gigabyte motherboard, but I can still relate to what Linus is showing in the video.  I can clock it up to 3400 no problem.  However, once I go to 3600, I get blue screens in Windows 10.  The most common one is System Service Exception.  But I have had a few others.  Has anyone come across difficulty like this when overclocking processors from before the Windows 10 era?

What steps are you going through to OC? Can we get voltage numbers, FSB speed, anything else you're maybe changing to obtain 3.4/3.6? No two CPU's will OC the same but if you're using a Phenom II x4 or x6 black edition you should be able to hit 3.8 with the right tuning

Unstable overclock, needs more voltage (but no more than 1.35V if the temps get past 75C under stress test). Whatever the reason Windows reports, the actual reason is still the same.

thats just an unstabile OC, add more voltage(unless you are at whatever the max safe is) or dial it back. also make sure the VRM and CPU arent getting too hot and that you have enough heatsink to keep it cool

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...
