My BF4 has been acting up. I normally get around 60-70 frames, then suddenly just drops down to 0 for like a second or so at random times. Anyone know the problem of this? I have a 780, all drivers are updated.

GPU usage problems, same thing happened to mine. My problem was when I got new GPU drivers (NVIDIA) it did not remove all the files and when I installed the newer version it started to conflict with the left over files. I did a complete reinstall of the drivers using DriverSweeper and making sure I ticked the box that removes all left over files. Once it was done. I then reinstalled new drivers again with the clean install option ticked and it runs fine now :3 hope this helps! :D

Edit: My problem was when I uninstalled my current GPU drivers*

Turn off Hyperthreading? There's a lot of fixes people have tried. My only issue has been rubberbanding, and I solved that with a new wifi adapter.

oh, it's DICEs fault? Not my rig?

No its just another problem with BF4 performance. Probably driver related, then again Dice could have broke the game in an update.

There was an update that apparently makes it mandatory to only have the 331.82 drivers or higher anything else and it disables DirectX 11 or something like that

Same has been happening to me. They fucked up the performance with this patch. Also, you now die at 1% health. And to add to that, your camera flips backwards as if you died before you actually die. It also seems that they've somehow worsened the netcode with this patch... Wonderful. GG Dice.

God this game is so broken. It's like 2 steps back and one forward on every update. Now there's screen flashing and texture dropping when running SLi withe the latest update. Are you running SLi by chance? If so, pop a card out and see what happens.

Unpark cores, make sure you have the newest net framework, some have had to do manual installs on framework.

Should help.

If you are worried your internet connection is bad, download pingplotter standard (free). Ping something like google.com at 1 second intervals. Watch the lower graph (don't surf internet as it will cause artificial "lag"). Let it go for 10 minutes. No red spikes? Connection is fine.

In my case? My old wireless router, even with a wired connection was dropping connection. When I hooked my computer up directly to the cable modem the spikes were gone.

I can't even play that game... This happens every single time there is update for any game. Update gets stuck at 99% and never finishes. After few days I'm forced to take my hdd and go take whole game folder from my friend and copy paste it on my pc, that fixes it everytime. Redownloading is pain in the a$$ since I have very slow connection....

edit: Game is laggy and stutters with one card and enabling my SLI makes it 10x worse :) Also fps is higher and more stable with one card than 2 cards. Frame drops to 0-4 are also very common.

The thing that i found is when i set my resolution i chose 59.92 FPS on 1080 instead of 60. When i changed to 60 FPS my stuttering was gone, not fully but not one second pauses.

Hope this helps.

Theres all kinds of fixes, not many stand out more. Telling you all possibilities would take too long.
