2 Gpus in same system

Hey Guys just wondering would it work properly if I used a gtx 1080 and a gtx 1080ti in the same system? Obviously not in SLI but for rendering videos and things like that. Would it negatively affect any other performance of my pc e.g. games? I got a gtx 1080ti and I still have an old 1080 lying around so it just collecting dust, so I'm not going out of my way to buy the Ti. My cpu is an I7 6850K, 64 gb of ram yes ram.

Depends on the programs themselves but could reduce render times for sure. Wouldn't cause any negative side effects.

Depends on how much rendering work you do. Sell it off will net you a lot of cash, but the time saved could be worth more than that.

Getting another GPU won't help with rendering a lot than upgrading a CPU for example. So sell it and get a new CPU cause it is useless to have.
