Plex Pass question

Does anyone know if a Plex Pass will unlock the payback restrictions in the iOS and Android apps? I could't find a clear answer, but I knew that quite a few people use Plex here.

I dont have iOS.  but on android you can either have Plex Pass... in which case it lifts the restriction so long as you have a current subscription.. OR.... you can pay a one time $5 fee and youll get the same.  Plex Pass is really about all the features, not playback on the app.

 

Edit - the fee is per device, not account wide.

Yep I can confirm this. I got the unlock on my phone on sale for $2.50 and god am I happy I did.

Plex Pass seems so very MEH to me.

On iOS I just ahem, sideloaded, the Plex app via AppValley to circumvent the restriction.

Ended up buying the one-time unlock thingie since I used an iTunes card and had some leftover.

I'm using Plex on both a Windows Phone (which is literally taped to my wardrobe and serves little to no other function than calendar, alarm clock and music player for when I don't want to use my PC for music) and, for some reason, the 1 minute playback restriction isn't there. At all. Weird.
