New microphone

I need a new microphone(My friends are bulling me to do it )
At the moment I have this "bad boy" http://www.ceneo.pl/159165

 

Could you recommend me a better?
I would prefer it to be a desktop model! Because I've already got a nice headset(Sennheiser HD 598)

Blue Snowball/Blue Yeti

I always feel like the Zalman ZM-MIC 1 is more than enough for voice chat.

The audio quality will be lost somewhere else in the chain anyway.

Blue yeti or Audio-Technica AT2020 are both pretty freaking awesome. 

 

EDIT: If you don't have the funds for those, the Blue snowball has decent audio for about half the price of the yeti.

If I got a Blue Yeti, would I need any extra equipment for it? Or can I just use it out of the box?

My biggest concern is the "booming" sound my old microphone i making! Will the same problem submit with the Blue Yeti?

From a yeti owner, only use it on a permanent mount. it uses USB that constantly breaks

For just voice chat, all you need is a Blue snowflake. More expensive mics are for recording purposes.

One of my friends is selling a Samson Meteor for 60$. Should I buy it, or get the Blue Yeti?

Audio-Technica AT2020. I wouldn't get the Yeti, the stand it comes with picks up way to much noise from desk and even if you get a stand, the shock mount that fits the yeti is expensive and it's massive so it makes the setup look bulky.

No problem. I have never used the Samson Meteor myself so i can't recommend it but it looks cool. Best thing you can do is pick it up and if you don't like it return it, I'm sure Amazon still has 14 day return policy.
