Changed the USB cable and now my LNP doesn't show in Corsair Link

A Silver

I have been having trouble with my Lighting node pro since I got it and I decided to change the USB cable today so I got a micro USB to USB2 cable and plugged it in to my internal USB hub and to the LNP and all the fans light up but it does not show in corsair link. The cable I used it a lot thinner than the cable it came with so I am wondering if it is missing one of the connections. Any ideas what I can do?

Make sure to compare the pinout of both too.

The issue is the old cable made the LNP stop working once a week and then it would start working a few hours later. At the moment I have no choice but to use the old cable.

How would I do that? The cable that came with it connects directly to a USB2 header where the new thinner cable connects to an actual USB port.

2 wire USB cable are sold on ebay. They only have Vcc and GND but no D+ and D- for Data.

Well, thats simple, you miss the data cables so it's impossible to control it. It can only send power.

That would explain it. What should I look for to make sure I get a USB cable with data?

Edit: Never mind, I found a 5pin mini USB cable on amazon that I presume would work.

Yep, I am 100% sure that is the issue. I will order a 5pin cable as that would be able to send data
