Hello, guys.
Has anyone built a PC with a case made of a 5l beer keg? (I understand also called a Mini-Keg or, in Canada "bubba")
I want to build a mildly low spec PC, let's say small form factor RX 550 or 1050 for the GPU (plus a 16x riser) and a CPU depending on the MoBo (as small as possible) for general purposes and low-end gaming to be my "man cave" center piece as an ode to all the stupid memories that I have which started with beer.
I don't really have the money to buy all sorts of parts to expeiment with and I was wondering if anyone has any experience with building a PC in such a small size PC case.
(I think it'd be really cool if LTT made a video about such a build, but that might be a bit of a stretch)

Size of a 5l (1.32 gallons) Heineken keg from Walmart.com

Assembled Product Dimensions (L x W x H)

6.52 x 6.52 x 11.08 Inches

Luke made a video about a fallout 4 themed PC which was in a pretty small cylinder shape.

I seem to have missed it until now, thank you!

Too small at only a 6 inch diameter tbh.

Yes, from what I could gather, 6.5 is quite insufficient for the Mini-ITX Luke used in his build :(

How about building your computer in a toilet? It will provide top end cooling, the s-bend will provide cooling which will be guaranteed to give you 20 degrees drop in idle temps and at least 10 degrees under load

Thank you, I honestly didn't think about that!

Update, as the idea develops:

It would seem people have had positive experiences with m.2 to PCI-e adapters (currently best I could find is m.2 to USB3, and I already have a PCIe 1x to PCIe 16x riser that might work) with relatively low performance drops (details here).
The reason I'm thinking m.2 is because there are Mini STX (5x5) motherboards that support 1151 CPUs and have m.2 slots. Wondering if this specific combination ever worked for anyone.
For the cooling, I'd probably remove the bottom of the keg and mount a big fan to double as a support maybe with vents on the top of the keg, and some basic IO on the back of the keg. I just hate the fact that I don't have the parts to actually see how everything would fit (cables and all).
For better cooling and more space, I'd also consider a water-cooling system with a heineken beer bottle (to respect the theme, and maybe also add some green LEDs for it to double as a swag light) as a reservoir for the mineral oil.

I'm not sure what the dimensions are, but there are also 8l kegs.

I had this idea 3 years ago when i had this really beautiful Paulaner Munchner Hell keg (great beer btw), i removed the top and tried to shove a friend's m-itx mobo and for my surprise, it didn't fit! The keg is much too narrow to fit a mobo inside and that is just the first problem you'll encounter.

There's also the matter of ventilation, which would turn your keg into a swiss cheese, no discernible place to put a power supply, no place for drives and so on...

Here's the keg i had at the time, we ended up making it into an oil catch tank for one of friend's drag cars!

Thank you a lot for sharing!
I have started to come to terms with the idea that the MoBo will not be mini ITX but something smaller, and the PSU as well as the cooling centerpiece might be external.
Also, I just love your taste in beer, planning to make a RPI 3B case out of a 1L Paulaner "Oktoberfest 2017 Limited Edition" keg to get used to my tools first.

The only smaller form factor is STX, which doesn't support expansion cards (some take MXM though) and is ASRock proprietary afaik.

PC Specs - AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D MSI B550M Mortar - 32GB Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR4-3600 @ CL16 - ASRock RX7800XT 660p 1TBGB & Crucial P5 1TB Fractal Define Mini C CM V750v2 - Windows 11 Pro

I see it has been done up to a point before, but the MoBo burned out for whatever reason and the project was dropped. STX is what I'm going to go for probably (when I have the money), with a M.2 eGPU
(Edit: I keep pressing ctrl+enter to jump to a new line and send posts half way)
