Hey, so for my first build that I would do for myself exclusively I was thinking of Ryzen 1800x, the strix 1050ti, 16 gigs ddr4-3000 for ryzen, and the msi pc mate b350 mobo (cheap and ok power phases for overclocking). In this build I’m incorporating rgb without an led strip as I think they look tacky. I wish to use something similar but cheaper then nzxt aer rgb case fans. So I decided on this. I will also be using the cryorig h7 quad lumi. Now, the trouble is that case! I was thinking about the Thermaltake view with the full wind glass side panel, but it has very few options for case fan placement that’ll look shabby. Also, I prefer to stay away from the color black, instead some white. I need a case with a big nice side panel and capacity for a lot of case fans.

60 dollar case budget please.

PS- no s340 s please, they’re generic af.

why an 1800x and a 1050ti not a well balanced system at all

I don’t game a lot. Just a few games that don’t really need good graphics. I do need more cores, since I’ll probably use it as a server part time, which is why I have multiple drives ready for it. Also I run a lot of VMs, so I was also thinking ryzen might help+ a future ram upgrade.

That's fair. Anyways the case I recommended wouldn't be very good for multiple drives. I would probably jump on a budget full tower system if you have a ton of drives.

GPU: XFX RX 7900 XTX

CPU: Ryzen 7 7800X3D

The PC Mate has among the worst VRMs. Just get a 1700, a Prime Pro, and overclock it. You'll get the same performance, and a much nicer motherboard.

There aren't that many good <$60 cases. The G21 might be available for that price?

you dont need that many cores for a media server, but yes for vms id go for the 1700 and get a bit of a gpu upgrade

But have you seen the price of the 1060s???

way too much.

Not a lot at once.

Its something I did with my old laptop I wanna try. Idk if it works so I don’t wanna mislead anyone.

yes but you are also paying like 50% more for a 1050ti than msrp

But in the long run I don’t need the 1050ti either, I could use a 1050 and be OK.

But can you think of a cheaper mobo with better overclocking?

Also I want to stay away from those kind of black box cases

what do you define as generic. cause most of the cases have a lot of similarities to the s340.

It’s just a box with a window. Literally. A box. With. A. Window. I want something different. But if there is a really sleek box with a window I can spring for it.

Absolutely not. It uses crappy MOSFETs, and only 4 of them. Stay away with any 8 core.

Well, using that case is one way to kill your system with heat!

What#s the gap at the bottom of the case for? Lighting a fire so you can really cook your system? LOL !
