So, i've decided i want to build a second pc to throw into my streaming setup to hit that dual pc god mode. Was thinking about buying a prebuilt off of origin, but then i remembered that around my room I had a z170 paired with a 6600k lying around. Wasn't sure if this processor would have been good enough for strictly streaming as I do not have much knowledge on how encoding and decoding works when it comes to streaming. Looking for advice and opinions.

well yah, i was able to stream just fine on an I5 4690K so a 6600K should be perfectly fine, especially if all its doing is the processing and sending it out part

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

Spoiler

Now Since it's just encoding, I could use the built in graphics on the chip for OS and such, yes? Throwing out the need to buy a gpu

16gb ddr4, 120ggb ssd, hd60pro, cooleramster case, and windows os. SOunds legit

sure, that should do it. if you want to record the streams you can add some bulk storage too like a 3TB HDD but thats about it
