So how does it work to que competitive with friends Iv placed in silver elite master ? Is that even any good ? Never play the game before

 

and I have friends in nova, can I que with them or would I have to be the same rank

I'm not sure about the limit but I believe it has to be more than 3 below and above. Last week my friends and I queued with an MGE and we are all Silver Elite and below. Mind you, we were a 5 man queue, not sure if that has something to do with the limit.
