Hello everyone.

I currently have a seasonic 1000w platinum power supply (SS-1000XP) with custom sleeved cables. I would like to buy an ax 1600i, but I have read that some cables have capacitors:

I was just wondering about making existing cables fit to news psu from Corsair.
Do I have add capacitors to my custom cables? Can I give normal cables (without capacitors)? What do you think about it? The power supply will lose a lot on it?

Regards :)

You cannot use cables from one PSU on another.

They have different connectors on the end.

You need to buy custom cables for the specific power supply you want.

Yes i know. That's why I don't know if I should add capacitors when modifying existing cables with new connectors. It does not matter. I just want to know if the lack of capacitors can have a negative effect on the power supply's parametr :)

No in cable capacitors will make the ripple worse, but the AX1600i should have plenty good ripple, even without in cable capacitors.

Whether or not cables are compatible will depend on the exact cables you're checking against. Or you could look up compatibility on e.g. Cablemod's website

It does not even fit. Do not bother and get new cables. You are already spending a lot of money for AX1600i so a new set of cables would be small compared to that.
