Hey,,

I have recently built my new rig, I have a few problems and have no idea what is wrong.

My main problem is I get a FPS drop's for a few seconds at random time's while playing game's, this isn't a certain game it happens in all my game's but only while I am streaming

I will get like a stable 50 FPS in game then at random time's my FPS goes down to like 2 and then after a few seconds it will shoot straight back up to 50 :S, I have no idea what is wrong.,

I have all the latest drivers installed on windows 7 x64. My Temps are really good, my CPU under full load is about 50-52 c, and my GPU under full load is about 75 c.

These are my pc spec's:

CPU: FX-6100 OC to 4 GHZ

RAM: Corsair vengeance 8 GB OC to 1800 MHZ (9.9.9.24)

M/B: Asus M5A78L-M

GPU: Radeon HD 7970 (Stock Speeds)

OS: Window's 7 x64 (Latest drivers installed)

My FPS drop's only happens streaming using OBS, I have changed and tweaked all settings in OBS an it still happens....

Do anyone have any idea what is wrong..... ? :)

So - sounds like the issue is OBS - since I have no familiarity with it, cannot really help, but is there any other software you could try? Also - overclocked memory can make a system slightly unstable and really offers no performance benefit. When glitches and stuff start happening, first thing to do is get rid of overclocks just to see if that may be the problem.

Okay thanks for the feedback, I have done a lot of testing throughout today and the problem is not with OBS, it's just in my case it happens more often with OBS, it rarely happens without (just never noticed before).

TheCanadianGamer16..... thanks for your post, it was a big help as we only share one component and I knew the problem had to lie there, it turns out It's the OC on CPU. As soon as I under clocked my CPU the problem seems to have gone, I'm running the CPU at 3.9 GHZ at auto voltage and did a lot of testing, I have not had the frame drop since, I OC to 4GHZ and the problem returned, I have no idea where to go form here, maybe voltage or HT link on M/B. I will continue tomorrow, and post back.

It might be an issue with OBS with it doing something in the background and thus dropping the framerate. Tried saving your current settings and resetting them to see if it helps?
