The fan controller also takes a 5.25" mount and I'd say is above the optical drive in terms of importance which is why I mentioned the drive and not the controller

There is no difference in 1ms and 4 ms monitors. Get the one with better colors and viewing angles. Dont get a tn monitor.

TBH I didn't notice the fan controller. My bad.

 

But I also don't see a reason to buy one. Definitely not a simple one like that and for that price. OP should just use the fan connectors on the motherboard, that will give him more precision anyways.

 

And if he added an optical drive, then he probably needs it. He definitely doesn't need a fan controller.

I think you could do a lot better with the budget, such as threadripper, i9, and titan XP.
