Driver updates

Which is preferable, the use of Windows Task Manager to update drivers or a third party driver updater such as Driver Booster?

I will always use in-built windows functionality where I can. Why add an extra app to do something windows already does?

If there is anything that windows doesn't do automatically I go direct to the manufactures support page and download directly from them.

I dislike middle men.

Don't use any driver updater software which isn't provided by manufacturer. They are pure crap and will cause more problems than solve them.

 

I don’t really mind driver updates in general. I update if something isn't working.
