CPU vs Liquid cooling vs Air cooling

So, I'm deciding for my first gaming PC build which CPU to choose. But to cool the CPU, i cant decide whether to choose a Corsair H60 or something else. i want to future proof the build to suit an upgrade to a better CPU in the future. I want the PC to run games at 1080p and it will be used for gaming and 1080p video rendering.

I'm thinking about a CPU in the i5 7500 to and i5 7600k range. I'll also want a quiet cooler which does a good job cooling.

If i go 7600k: go H60 or something else similar but this is more pricier. otherwise i go 7500 or 7600 with air cooling or H60, which is cheaper.

So my basic question is, Choose:

The I5 7500 with Air cooling or Futureproof it with the H60 (or similar) for a cheaper price.

The I5 7600 with Air or the H60 for a bit more ($30), Or

The I5 7600k with the H60 (or better/similar) for and extra $50

The H60 isn't very good and there are plenty of better coolers that are usually cheaper.

What case and ram are you using?

Where are you shopping/located? Budget?

Unless you're going with a custom loop or have a cramped case where air cooling isn't an option, you're gaining little to nothing over air cooling with liquid.

It seems like you're planning a new build instead of just getting a cooler. In that case, I'd suggest planning the build as a whole in the New Builds and Planning subforum instead of segregating the discussion.
