Wiping drive using GParted

Go to solution Solved by Beef Boss,

I made two partitions on the drive, splitting it into two. The installer recognizes the extended partition but not the primary.

Im using a drive to boot gparted on, and I'm trying to clean a drive to use as a boot drive for an OS. I need to know how to completely reformat the drive to be able to load an OS on it. I've tried numerous programs and everything. I load into the live USB and the system says the disk has 1 mb free.

Asus 7700XT Tuf Gaming

AMD 5600x3d

which OS?  most operating systems have a partitioning tool in their installer thats plenty good enough for doing what you want to do.

Fedora 27. But I do have gparted on a live diskette. Ive also tried parrot, arch, windows... It "appears" as a terabyte drive then a 935 gig drive and when I'm going to install it shows as 1 mb free. I once changed the table on it and it allowed 54 gigs of storage and I could install fedora. Now I wanted my terabyte back but nothing works.
