Just wanted to say welcome to the forum! There are subforums more geared to what you are asking, it would probably be best suited "New builds and planning" section.

However I do not know what is best to make games, as I don't make games haha. I also wanted to say welcome to the LTT forums! We all hope you learn bunches and can maybe even help out others once you get used to things here! :D

Unity3D doesn't have very high demands and you don't really render a game, you simply compile it and than have a game package. Of course you would have needed to have rendered your models you may use beforehand... But my old PC which costed around 500 euros in 2011 ran the program mostly fine.

Of course it will depend on what you want to do with it.

A GPU may not be a necessity, but may be quite nice to have.

There is really no "bare minimum". You spend however much you want and the more money you put in, the better it will run things.

Your laptop can run these programs as long as it is plugged in

Also make sure you quote or mention whoever you respond to, so they get a notification that you replied (I saw this by chance)
