b350 pc mate compatible for 2 cards?

so i originally put this post in the gpu section (not knowing there was a mining sub).

basically i was wondering if i bought a separate 1070sc if i could use it strictly for mining (sli out of the question). so then i could have 2 1070's working with my rig. thoughts? another thing i might do though is to just buy a simple 3x 1060 rig and run that 24/7 instead of 2 1070's for about 60% of the day.

thoughts?

full rig:

ryzen 7 1700x

16gb corsair 3000 mhz

1070 sc (EVGA)

b350 pc mate

250gb SSD

No.

Get different motherboard, even if you have one I'd change it if you overclock CPU at all

@JDE is wrong, SLI does not work with B350, but as mining and other GPU based computation like 3D rendering does not use the SLI bridge it will work fine. you may even be able to turn the pcie x1 slot to an x16 with an adapter and add a third graphics card.

X370 PRIME Plus would do, and has good VRMs
