Depends on the PSU and I'm not sure.

But given the price of that unit, I'd replace it anyway, regardles...

What PSU do you have in mind? What's available??

Where are you from??
Both of those aren't that great...

Get a Bitfenix Whisper M, Formula, Be quiet Straight Power 11, 450 or 550W.

ANd what benefit do you really have from 650W?

None!

Because you don't know what the future might bring, it makes no sense to buy 'for the future'. And then look at the power consumption of components and the price.

For you to be in the 650W area you need components for around 1000€ or more.

Or rather 1500€...

In components I'm talking about either an AMD VEGA or a GP102 based unit like the GTX1080TI.

Because there are changes to the ATX specification coming that might render the PSU useless in about two years.

Another thing:
IBM AT: around 1984

ATX Spec: 1995 - around 11 years later

Now we have 2018 - 23 Years since the ATX spec was introduced. And everyone knowing about is says that the ATX spec is garbage because too little +12V on the main connector.

You see that getting things for the future makes no sense, do you??

So get a higher quality unit instead of a higher wattage one - because that's something you will benefit from, higher wattage is not.

Back to Bitfenix Whisper M: the 650W one has a higher spinning fan increasing the idle rpm of around 400rpm to 700rpm...
