I bought a beats studio headphone for $300 for a couple months now and now it's making a very loud static noise on the left ear cup...  every time I move the left earcup it makes a high pitch static noise which only comes from the left earcup. How do I fix this high pitch static noise problem because it's hurting my ear... The headphone I bought is this http://www.amazon.com/Beats-Studio-Over-Ear-Headphones-White/dp/B00E9262YS/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1387089276&sr=8-4&keywords=beats+studio

If you don't mind me asking, why did you buy them in the first place?

Yep, inquiring minds want to know......whatever possessed TS to get one in the first place?  I'd never  even consider a Beats or Skullcandy, but apparently, some like 'em.

A lot of older people (especially people my parents age) seem to give Bose a good wrap, even though their car audio systems sound like diarrhea.

It's not just their car audio that's terrible. Maybe parents remember a time when Bose made decent products?

I love their new wi-fi speaker commercial. The sound is hollow and sounds like it was processed through a tin can. That qualifies as hi-fi sound?

Bose are the leaders in noise cancellation. That's about it.

Any luck with your issue? Have you seen any other threads showing similar problems? I take it your best chance is to return them. Just try get a refund instead of repair/replacement. If you haven't figured it out already, Beats are pretty shit, over priced and poor build quality (in your case). At least the look good though ;).

Reason why I bought this headphone is because of course it looks nice and not only that, it has good bass. I could feel the vibration of the base when a music has them... Another reason is that it has good noise cancelation and last pretty long before a full charge. It's also very comfortable. This is the only Beats headphone(and my first beats) I'd get and any other I will pretty much just don't like or hate them. This beats headphone got like everything I needed, detachable cable(reason why wired headphone break) and it has a good mic as well with the build cables.

I got an Soul by Ludacris SL150B headphone and it doesn't have bass. It used to retail for $200, it as of now retail for $50 and I bought it at that price couple months ago. Only thing I hate about it is that it doesn't have bass and the "on ear" hurts my ear after hours of usage but I still use it even if it hurts lol... No bass and decent highs and mids and noise cancelation isn't that good but for $50 it's actually great for it price.

I think the reason that a lot of people aren't a fan of beats is that you really pay for the brand name. Yes it has noise cancelling, detachable cable, a mic, and good battery life, but quite frankly, you don't have to look for a while to find headphones with a similar feature set for less. Just now I found Audio-Technica ATH-ANC7B headphones with noise cancelling, a detachable cable with mic, and good cables. Price? $160 on Amazon, half of what beats cost yet they have similar features and probably better sound quality. The only thing that the beats have over the audio technicas are the bass and the looks, but again, looking around on amazon I found ATH-Pro700Mk2 for $170, which has better overall sound, good build quality, nice looks, passive noise isolation (no batteries needed) and similar bass to beats studio. And for the mic problem, you can get a cable for $5 that has a mic on it. That means for $125 less you get everything nice about the beats plus better sound quality. So why do beats cost $125 dollars more? BRAND. Its like a louis vutton belt. It will do the same thing as something $100 less, but because of the celebrity endorsement and that logo, it ends up being more expensive even though there is really no difference besides the marketing that goes into it.

Nah, This beats I bought is still better. You haven't tried it and yet you made a judgment saying it's horrible because it's beats... If you experienced those headphones you suggested and the beats studio then i'd gladly take your advice. The beats studio I bought are amazing, not saying it's better but it's great. One awesome thing about the beats I bought is that I can disable noise cancellation by holding a button instead of taking one side off my ear.

I haven't found a solution beside "refund" around the internet...

Keep believing that. gir0ba is right, the price tag on Beats products is high because of the brand name, not the quality. I guarantee you you can find cheaper headsets that sound better. And I'm pretty sure if you owned one of the headsets people here suggested, you wouldn't be coming to us with a broken pair of headphones.

I have actually tried beats studio, due to the sad fact that most of my friends are in this brand name mentality where expensive sports clothing apparently makes you play better in sports, and if some famous rapper endorses their headphones then they are the best things in the entire world, and that apple is like god. I personally don't like the sound because there isn't enough mids and highs to please me, so I'll just stick to my 8323s with velour pads.  I can understand why you wouldn't take my advice, because i'm not an audiophile by any stretch of the imagination, but why don't you go look at the headphones I recommended in my posts above on audio forums such as head-fi, where there are people with a much more extensive experience in audio and who are much more qualified to recommend a better sounding headphones with similar features to the beats studio.

Just to make it easy for you, here's a link to the headfi page of the pro700 mk2 http://www.head-fi.org/products/audio-technica-ath-pro700-mk2, where it is ranked 61 out of 885 over-ear headphones based on rating, and here's a link to the inner fidelity page where he tests a ton of noise cancelling headphones http://www.innerfidelity.com/content/comparative-review-high-end-noise-canceling-headphones-page-3, including beats studio and audio technica ATH-ANC7B, where in the conclusion he puts the Audio Technicas as a low cost alternative to the bose QC10. Nowhere in that conclusion does he say anything about Beats Studio. Finally, if the only solution that people are giving you on the internet is to refund, doesn't that say something about what people think about beats studio. Sorry If I came off as rude, It just bothers me when people start to criticize me even after I try to help and recommend products that I as well as many other more experienced people believe are good buys.

Well, the TS paid 300 bucks for it, if he wants to believe his Beats is badass, who are we to rain on his parade with solid opinions and reviews? I happen to believe Beats is utter crap and would NEVER EVER buy one, but seeing that the TS prefers to take his opinion over others, nothing much can be done with that. It's sort like Razer keyboard fanboys.....btw, having bass does not equal good sound. But hey, if TS loves bass above everything else, that's his prerogative.

I'd gotten a Razer Blackshark because someone had reviewed it here, and I wanted to see if the Blackshark was a good gaming headset (and I happened to stumbled upon one going for half its retail price). The headset was pretty OK for gaming, you really cannot avoid the bass, and for watching movies too.....though I do find the dialog to be somewhat muffled at times. For music, the headset is utter trash.....bass over everything else.....absolutely zero soundstage, highs and mids were muffled and overall sound was totally craptastic. Vocals came out muffled due to overwhelming bass......it was simply a train wreck when it came to anything music related. The Beats may sound better than that, but for 300, a more cost effective and better sounding pair of headphones can be had for less than what the TS had paid for his Beats.
