So today I went to my grandmothers house as she just bought a laptop and wanted me to remove of her old computer (an old IMB running windows 3.1) and i found out her keyboard was a model M so i just scored my self a model M for free any one jealous?

If I liked buckling springs I might be a little jealous, they are too stiff for me, but still nice score.

and for keycaps, unicomp might have some and I think theres a few places listed in the reddit wiki.

Sorry but why are they actually known to be so good? wouldn't the springs snapping like that be a bad thing?
I think because of how solid the keyboard is?

they are reliable sturdy keyboards with a nice solid tactile keypress and valued up to ~$100.

I was wondering if there is any keycap out there that fits on my old IBM model M keyboard or not. Because last time I do remember my mum used to have it. Unfortunately the keycaps got removed due to my little brother.

There are replacement keys, probably won't have the printing exactly as is, but it's a good replacement.
