Hi,

I have a toshiba l350 laptop that works pretty well without the charger. However, when I plug in the charger the laptop doesn't post. The Power led turns on, but I have a black screen. The fan starts to spin then the laptop shuts down.
Basically, the laptop keeps restarting until I unplug the charger.

Futhermore, If I start the laptop without the charger and I plug it in right after the post, the laptop doesn't shutsdown.

Uhm, Yeah that sounds like it needs professional help!

Have you tried updating the BIOS? It could be that either a recent BIOS update has borked how the charging circuit talks to the the rest of the machine or it's a known fault which has been patched out and you simply need to update the BIOS.

If that doesn't work and it's in warranty i'd suggest getting that repaired, I would guess that something on the charging circuit is fundamentally broken. I can't see anyone being able to help over the internet (unless of course there is some ridiculously niche solution to this as it's a known problem)

Sorry I can't offer much beyond an obvious suggestion.

Good luck!

Update: With speedfan  the cpu and core temp are between 93-98C idle.
However, the laptop is not hot at all and the air flow is not even hot. Futhermore, even with a stress test the temperature stay between 95-99C. I don't know if the temps are correct or the sensors are just broken.
