1000$

oh ok should I switch to intel or switch mobo

You dont need to switch your mobo with that processor. A 760 and 4670K is a great setup. You could get a less expensive board though.

Edit: and that power supply is unnecessary for that setup. A 600w would be more than enough.

this is not a good rig for the money go away from it.

First of all sorry but amd processors arent compatible with a z87 board and why have an apu and a gpu its a waste. I reccomend for mobo and cpu to have a asrock 970 extreme 4 and a amd 8320 also I reccomend getting a 500-600 watt psu and buying an ssd. like maybe a 120gb evo.

Anyway sorry for blowing your rig apart but its better then having to hear the story of u trying to fit a amd cpu into a intel motherboard lol

welcome to forums and enjoy your infinate non ending stay

I guess a intel 4670k but paying that much for a motherboard is not necessary especially for a beginner. the only upsides are slightly better reliability and better overclocking. your better off using the money for a better gpu lik emaybe a r9280x.

well sorry to say this and it may sound harsh but your too new to have a preference. you have obviously not every built a computer so I dont think you really can have a preference. ( i started out thinking asus boards were the bets but quikly realised there were great boards from msi, gigabyte, asrock, ect) after building over 20ish computers for personaly use friends family and even complete strangers ive only used 3 asus boards, and it was only because they happened to be the budge solution for what I needed not because i was in some cult for a brand. I love asus dont get me wrong but they are not the be all and the end all if you catch my drift. Anyway gpu overclocking isnt really affected by the mobo so again dont worry.

Sorry to have to explain to you all this in a harsh way but it annnoys me when beginners think a brand is better by there own friends opinion or there undeveloped own.

Again go budget motherboard for this price range i reccomend spending 125ish on a board which is half of the sabertooth and which will save u a lot of money being able to use the money for things that will actually help performance like a btter cpu, gpu, ram, ssds, ect. (p.s. a motherboard doesnt increase performance at all!)

without the operationg system it will be under budget but i assum eu need an os. obviously u can use windows 7 if u odnt like windows 8. and if you really only have 1000 and need an os you can get a cheaper case that supports atx
