Depends what music you use. Best way to avoid copyright infringement is to use music that is copyright free.

As for embedding youtube or spotify into the game, that would still be copyright infringement, unless it actually requires the user to sign in to Spotify or just includes a web-browser that can access Youtube. Using songs that are uploaded from those services, even if the game itself doesn't include the files, is still copyright infringement.

EDIT: Even if you're using "copyright free" music, it's important to double check any licensing there may be on it. You may find that it's free to download and use, but if you're using it in a commercial product that you're selling, it may have different requirements.

It depends,

I had a garrys mod server for a few years which was quite popular, never had any concerns of copyright infringement.

The best way however is to provide an ingame browser which the user can access YT from, not a browser that they can only access YT from.

Hope this helps

If the user can navigate to youtube and search for videos, then play them, that shouldn't be considered copyright as it could just be considered an elaborate web browser. However, if it was just a component that used Youtube as the source for music, it's copyright infringement.

eh gmod does it all the time and i dont see an issue. they have servers dedicated to it.

They probably would, but since its only servers which might be donation based, not that big of issue vs whole game which makes profit partly using copyrighted music.
