Temperature differential between...

The Noctua NH-U14S, which is a one-heatsink setup with one fan and the Noctua NH-D14 which is a dual-heatsink setup with two fans. What sort of differential in temps would i be looking at? The D14 is only £10 more expensive than the 14s, would just like to know whether or not it’d be worth the extra investment for cooling my i5-8600k which will be overclocked - in an mATX (Thermaltake Versa H15) case using 2 exhaust and 2 intake.

The NH-D14 performs slightly better but the NH-U14S is the better cooler overall since the single fan is quieter and the form factor makes it easier to work with and around.

That being said, the NH-U14S doesn't fit in the Versa H15 while the NH-D14 barely does.

Why are you looking at these coolers in particular?

I’m a fan of Noctua and their build quality in general, plus i keep my side panel off because it’s ugly lol - currently i have the Noctua NH-L9i and need a beefier cooler to keep the 8600k under tabs whilst doing any reasonably heavy loads, the L9i struggles to even keep temps below 70c under load whilst gaming etc, and honestly i’m not a fan of my system running that hot - i’d prefer sometime in the 50-60 range.

In that case, go with the cheaper NH-U14S. It's arguably the best air cooler overall.

Max temps difference probably is 5-7C at most, depending on case. These two have many reviews and graphs mde of, easy to find if you want more exact readings.
