Hey,

I got a MSI B350 PC MATE and a Ryzen 3 1200 with 8GB Crucial Ballistix Sport 2400MHz RAM.

My CPU is running stable at 4.1GHz and 1.385V and my RAM is running at 3200MHz. Both overclocks have been stresstested together for ~15hours without any issues.

However:

When I restart, it doesn't matter if do it via windows or in bios, I don't even get to the post screen. It only happens when my system is overclocked.

A cold boot works every time tho. While I don't really mind not being able to restart I'm still a little worried if my OC is too much and may damage anything in the long term?

Is there a reason your system, or windows for that matter, would require a restart and not a cold boot?  That's the only thing I can think of that would be an issue.  Of course, if it is the OC causing it, maybe back it down to 4.0 and see if it still does it?  Just to make sure that is the reason.

You might degrade the CPU over time and it won't be able to handle 4.1 or even 4.0.

I advise you to only overclock to the point where your system can restart normally.

There's another reason that it's might be failing though.

There's a thing called startup voltage. It's higher than your set voltage and only happens to kinda start it all up. So when you cold start it, it might be enough, but it fails to deliver enough juice on normal restarts.. Idk, it's just an educated guess. I could be completely wrong. And it's totally up to MB, not the CPU.
