Hey guys I'm not to great with hardware and all help would be appreciated.
I looking for some help.
I'm looking at buying a 1440p 144hz monitor and i have a 1920x1080 60hz already i want to run dual monitors.
My set up i have is

i7-6700k 4ghz not overclocked

16gb ram

geforce 970

Will i be able to run two screens with out it being to demanding on my computer?
Will i need to upgrade my screen situation or what should i do ?

A 970 is barely enough for 1080p 144fps on most games with settings turned down (I have this config, I'd know) You wont get the full 1440p 144hz out of the panel unless you're running less demanding E-sports games.

However, running dual screens put no more strain on the GPU as one would.

In some cases gpu or windows can have problems running at two different framerates.

On a stronger GPU, it shouldn't be an issue. I've personally never heard of a 970+ having issues displaying just a couple of window images or simultaneous videos.

I can run 2x1080p with no problem,
Would i be able to buy a 1060 or something cheaper and run SLI?
Also would i be able to run 1440p 144hz with only one monitor or would the problem still remain ?

sli is only for 1070's and above.

Additional screens don't tax your GPU any harder (except while idle but that only affects idle power consumption). A higher resolution screen will give you lower framerates if you game on it though.

We have a NEW and GLORIOUSER-ER-ER PSU Tier List Now. (dammit @LukeSavenije stop coming up with new ones)
