Hey guys,

So my question is pretty straight forward. Do you think ryzen + will improve ryzen's performance in games that can in fact compete with 8700k or even 8600k?

In my oppinion, no. Zen2? maybe, but zen+ , at best 5-10% improval.

Guess im buying 8600k, since i just want to game ! eh

I'm very optimistic about Zen+. They are being produced 12 nm. I think AMD can really make a good job. Zen 2 is 7 nm. So i think it wil be very good.

Yes, 2nm is already good , but in games ryzen is still far behind. I would like to get a ryzen just because in 2020 if i want to upgrade to zen3 i dont need to buy new motherboard , but as i like to play in my spare time between work and hobbies and for the money lets say 1700x is, i buy 8600k and get better gaming perfomance.

But i really think zen2 is going to be huge, lets see what intel have reserved for that.

It's not that behind. I don't think it is something that can't be done with 2 nm and good optimization.

I'm skeptical that the IPC improvement will go up by more than 10% If anything, most of the performance boost will come from an increase in the stock clock speeds.

I agree, i think amd will be better at games only if games manufacturer companies decide to make games that use more cores/threads.

i personally think you should wait not only because there will be new chips, but also because if there are more chips there is more competition and prices go down.

Thank you for your oppinion , guess my i5 4670 and gtx770 will have to sort out for a couple of months :P
