ivy bridge in a p67 chipset before bios support update

Experiment: i have a ivy 3470 cpu and a asus p8p67 pro rev 3.1 what would happen if u but an ivy bridge into a lga1155 p67 chipset motherboard before you updated the BIOS to support ivy bridge so far there are no videos about this and a lack of forums who have the evidence too backup there claims. anyone who would be willing to find out would be contributing to the world

Well, it can do 2 things.

It cannot work at all, like no post, very boring i know, or just show you a message that basically says "put a proper CPU in it you twat"

 

Or it works and it will just complain a bit.
