Ryzen gaming PC (School project)

Jordyrock

I’m in need of a new pc and I have decided to go for a ryzen build:

If you do think that I should change something please can you say why, since I am doing this for a school project as well so I need to use this for my research.

Thank you,

It's not a PC for a school project. it's a PC for damn high-end gaming.

It is for both. I’m building the Pc for my personal use and then I am also using it as a school project. Recording a time lapse of building, comparing speeds, how cost efficient it is etc

throw an ssd in there, the kraken is fine if youre okay overpaying for leds

id change the mobo to a prime x370 from asus as you'd be pushing the vrms of that b350 board, other than that, its fine :)

edit: spelling was awful

Yeah, this'll be more than enough for any school project. Only thing I'd add is an SSD.

Ryzen 5 1600 @ 3.9 Ghz  | Gigabyte AB350M Gaming 3 |  PaliT GTX 1050Ti  |  8gb Kingston HyperX Fury @ 2933 Mhz  |  Corsair CX550m  |  1 TB WD Blue HDD

Inside some old case I found lying around.

Yes I have as it was prettt cheap and the speeds aren’t bad. It may only be 600mbs write but it is 1500mbs read

What air cooler would you recommend and I may still get cheaper RAM but I would like 3200mhz. Plus DDR4 Ram is expensive at the moment

Nice, I have done the exact same thing.

I like everything except the RAM, as it is to expensive, but if you REALLY want RGB than it is ok. I also think that you should use a white mobo like the tomahawk artic to go with the white case. But thats personal choice.

CPU: Ryzen 5 1600 MOBO: MSI Tomahawk B350 GPU: Reference cooled GTX 980 Storage: Intel SSD5 256Gb RAM: 8gb Geil EVO Potenza Case:  Phanteks p300 PSU: EVGA 500 watt CPU Cooler: AMD wraith spire

Steam: maxarooni4

Battle.net: MAX

If you have an Oculus HMU in dead and buried

Like some said, get a X370 for that CPU, B350's are kinda limited.

X370 Taichi if you can afford is one of the best.
