I have a max budget of 50 USD that I might want to spend on an air cooler for my PC upgrade and was wondering which one I should get. I've seen a lot of names tossed around lately such as the Noctua NH-D15(the color though) and the Cryorig C7, and I started wondering how much better of an air cooler I could get for $50 than the included Wraith Stealth that comes with the CPU I'm getting.

I don't know about the difference, but I have heard the Hyper 212 Evo is a good cooler.

I have been thinking about that one as well, although I've heard from a friend who has it that it's a pain to mount

The Hyper 212 EVO is a very reputable cooler but it's really not worth the extra price. The 212 EVO often will provide the same cooling efficiency as the Wraith when idle, is slightly louder, and requires an aftermarket AM4 mount. I'd watch this video if you'd like to learn more.

Instead, I'd suggest that you stick with the Wraith and save up to invest in a Noctua NH-D15 or Be Quiet! Dark Rock 3.

I don't have any fans to replace the Noctua ones with so that's out. What about the Pure Rock/Pure Rock Slim?

The BK013 Shadow Rock 2 is slightly more efficient than the 212 EVO. I would not go with the Pure Rock series.

Specs are in my signature, but I'm using an NZXT S340 and a single stick of G.Skill NT series memory(generic DDR4)

160mm limit only then. C7 and D15 are two ends of scale. One being low-profile non-OC cooler and other being king of them all. I would say you can pick any of the budget coolers; 212 Evo, H7, Gammaxx400, Pure Rock and be happy about it.
